Currently called the Pawtucket No. 2 Hydroelectric Project, this historic facility was once known as the Bridge Mill Power Station. Hydropower from the Blackstone River was first harnessed here in 1896. In its early days, the station provided direct current (DC) power to street lights and elevators throughout the city of Pawtucket.
